Homelessness is a national epidemic and a critical crisis in our own community. Several of our local families are currently homeless. Keeping families, especially those with children or the elderly, in their homes is our top priority. Donations enable us to help with rent, mortgages, safety repairs and general emergencies during tough times.
Through county and Federal programs, such as LIHEAP, and partnering with energy providers, we help neighbors who are behind on utility payments keep their homes running. Electricity, heat and water are basic needs. Donations keep the lights on for dozens of families!
We need your help now more than ever!

We join The Knights of Columbus for food drives to stock local food banks. Monetary donations buy ShopRite cards that enable neighbors in need to purchase groceries. We are grateful for those who bake casseroles, cook soup, make sandwiches and deliver birthday bags to those they have never met but whose welfare is important to them.
Donations of frozen casseroles or frozen sandwiches to our freezer in Heritage House are greatly appreciated!
One of our guests who traveled a difficult road of homelessness to sustainability was able to safely deliver her baby and bring that child to a new warm and safe home. Thanks to the many who contributed their time and treasure to create this happy ending!
Due to the support she received from SVDP, a young mother to whom we supply food remarked "I was so thankful for the food and delivery for my children when I was too sick to shop."
SVDP Moorestown helped a young homeless and pregnant woman by keeping her safe in temporary housing until she decided to return home to her family. We also assisted her in securing transportation to return home. This was made possible by donations.
